Farbrengen  of  Joy 

You're Invited!!

 "As soon as Adar begins, we increase with joy" Tractate Taanis pg 29. 

You're invited to a farbrengen of Joy to kick off  the two months of Adar. Since we are in a leap year we have 60 days of increasing with joy.  This year the begining of Rosh Chodesh Adar is on Thursday night, February 3, 2011.

As in previous years this is when we also celebrate the birthday of our dear Rabbi, Rabbi Meir Chai Benhiyoun who was born on the first day of Rosh Chodesh Adar. 

The farbrengen will take place at 1236 N Dearborn Parkway, Chabad House of The Gold Coast at 7:30pm on Thursday February 3.

The weekly Tuesday Night Kabalah Class is being postponed this week to Wednesday, December 23. The class will be in conjunction with an annual, worldwide celebration known as *"Hey Teves".  8pm in Chabad of the Gold Cost. *The U.S. Federal Court issued a verdict on Tevet 5, 5747- 6 January, 1987 in favor of Agudas Chassidei Chabad ("Union of Chabad Chassidim") regarding the ownership of the priceless library of the 6th Rebbe of Chabad-Lubavitch, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn. The ruling was based on the idea that a Rebbe is not a private individual but a communal figure synonymous with the body of Chassidim.
